​We are now booking dates right through to December 2026, including our ever-popular Christmas Baking workshops. These always sell out, so we try to put the dates up to help you try and beat the rush - especially those of you on last year's waiting list.

And, don't forget, our baking retreats in Tuscany continue at the beautiful Castello di Potentino. This year we'll be there in the Autumn only as unfortunately we have other commitments in the Spring.

SOURDOUGH EPISODE OF SLICED BREAD

We were delighted to welcome the ever-curious Greg Foot from Radio 4's Sliced Bread to the White Cottage Kitchen. As we bake sourdough together, we chat about artisan bread-vs-sliced bread and the rise of supermarket 'sourfaux'. Food historian, Dr Sue Bailey, takes us through the history of bread manufacture in the UK  and Professor Tim Spector discusses the nutritional benefits of sourdough-vs-sliced white. Is sourdough the best thing since, well...?
